Live Roulette

Roulette is indeed a fascinating game of chance and luck. The rules of the Roulette game is extremely easy to grasp and understand. This live table game features a wheel with numbers 1 to 36. Other than the wheel, it also features a table with numbers and other additional sectors on the gaming table where the players can place their bets. After the players have placed their bets, the live dealer spins the Roulette wheel and a ball rotates landing on a number.

It is to be noted that the game of Roulette also offers different variants depending on the gaming provider which include Auto Roulette, French Roulette, American Roulette and more. And so, the Roulette wheel and the layout of the game varies depending on the gaming provider and the variant the player chooses to play and explore.

The Key Elements of Live Roulette

The major key elements in a Live Roulette can be grouped under four heads, namely:

  • The Roulette wheel
  • The Roulette ball
  • Betting table
  • Gaming chips

Types of Bets in Live Roulette

The bets in the game of live Roulette can be divided into two: Inside bets and outside bets. The bets that the players place within the numbers 1 to 36 are termed as inside bets and the bets that the players’ place on the other sectors is termed as outside bets.

There are  seven types of inside bets in total which include:

Straight bet: This type of bet covers only one number in the gaming table. In order to place this bet, the players have to place their casino chip inside a particular number on the gaming table.

Split: Split refers to placing bets on two numbers which are adjacent to the gaming table with the casino chip placed on a shared line between the squares of two lines.

Street: Street is a type of bet which is placed on three consecutive numbers which are located in the same line. The players can place their bets on the outer corner of the row.

Six Line: This is a bet placed on two adjacent lines. In order to place this bet, the players have to place their chip on the common outer corner of two lines.

Corner: This is a four-numbered bet, placed by putting the chip in a common corner of four numbers and also called as ‘Square bet’.

Trio: Trio is a three-number bet which includes zero. This bet involves placing the chip between the line shared by zero and other numbers in the gaming table.

Basket: This includes placing bets on numbers 0, 1, 2 and 3 with the chip shared by zero. In the case of American Roulette, it includes double zero.

The outside bets in the game of Roulette can be grouped into five:

Red or Black: This involves betting on the colour of the winning number.
Odd or Even: In this type of bet, the players bet whether the winning number will be odd or even.
1 to 18 or 19 to 36: This includes betting on whether the winning number will be low (lower than 19) or high.
Dozens: The players here bet on one of the three dozen that is found on the layout of the table.
Columns: This involves betting from which of the three columns the winning number will be.
